IN THE YEAR 20XX THERE
WAS AN "EVENT" THAT CAUSED
A COLLAPSE OF SOCIETY,
MASS CASUALTIES,AND THE
BEGINNING OF A DISEASE CALLED
THE ROT , BUT AT THE SAME
TIME, THE BIRTH OF A GENERATION
OF HUMANS WHO TO THIS DAY
REMAIN UNDYING. THEIR BLOOD AND FLESH
BEING THE ONLY CURE FOR THE ROT.
ALTHOUGH ONLY TEMPORARILY.
MAL IS ONE SUCH HUMAN.
THE YEAR IS 21XX,
MANY OF THESE IMMORTALS
HAVE BEEN CAPTURED, KEPT AS
BATTERIES FOR THOSE WHO ALSO
WISH TOESCAPE DEATH.
THOSE WHO HAVEN'T, REMAIN HIDDEN.
